Day 6: Faithful Even If
Main Scripture:
“If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” — Daniel 3:17–18 (NKJV)
Devotional:
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego stood before a king who could order their deaths and said something remarkable: God was able to deliver them, but even if He did not, they would not bow.
Their confidence in God’s power was real. So was their refusal to make obedience dependent on a particular outcome.
That is a difficult kind of trust.
It is easier to say, “I trust God” when we can imagine how He will solve the problem. We pray for healing, provision, restoration, direction, or an open door, and we rightly believe that God is able to act. But what happens to our faith when the answer is delayed, different from what we expected, or not what we hoped for?
Daniel 3 does not ask us to stop hoping. These men clearly believed God could rescue them. But their deeper loyalty was settled before they knew the result.
“But if not” did not mean that they doubted God. It meant that their worship belonged to Him regardless of what happened next.
There are moments when faith says, “God is able,” while surrender adds, “And even if I do not receive what I want, I will still belong to Him.”
That kind of trust is not passive resignation. It is choosing God Himself over the condition we want Him to change. Your confidence rests not only in what God can do, but in who He is.
You may not understand what He is doing. The circumstances may remain uncomfortable. The answer may still be unclear. Yet you can continue to obey, pray, hope, and refuse to give another voice the loyalty that belongs to Christ.
God is worthy not only when the furnace disappears, but also when you are still standing in it.
Reflection Questions:
- Is there an outcome you have unintentionally made a condition for trusting God?
- What does “even if” faithfulness look like in your present circumstances?
- How can you continue to hope for God’s intervention while also surrendering the outcome to Him?
Prayer:
Lord, I believe that You are able, and I bring my hopes and needs honestly before You. Yet I do not want my loyalty to depend on receiving the answer I expect. Teach me the trust that can still say, “Even if not, I am Yours.” When I do not understand Your timing or Your ways, keep my heart from turning toward compromise. Help me continue praying, hoping, obeying, and worshiping You. Give me courage to choose You above the outcome I want most. Let my confidence rest in Your character, not only in what I hope You will do. You alone are worthy of my worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
اليوم ٦: أمين حتى لَو

التأمل:
وقف شدرخ وميشخ وعبدنغو أمام ملك كان يستطيع أن يأمر بقتلهم، وقالوا أمرًا لافتًا: الله قادرًا أن ينقذهم، لكن حتى لو لم يفعل، فلن يسجدوا.
كانت ثقتهم بقدرة الله حقيقية، وكذلك كان رفضهم أن يجعلوا طاعتهم مرتبطة بنتيجة معيّنة.
وهذا نوع صعب من الثقة.
من السهل أن نقول: «أنا أثق بالله» عندما نستطيع أن نتخيّل كيف سيحل المشكلة. نصلي من أجل الشفاء، أو الاحتياج، أو الاسترداد، أو الإرشاد، أو باب مفتوح، ونؤمن بحق أن الله قادر أن يعمل. لكن ماذا يحدث لإيماننا عندما تتأخر الإجابة، أو تأتي مختلفة عما توقعناه، أو لا تكون كما كنا نرجو؟
لا يطلب منا دانيال ٣ أن نتوقف عن الرجاء. فقد كان هؤلاء الرجال يؤمنون بوضوح أن الله قادر أن ينقذهم. لكن ولاءهم الأعمق كان قد حُسم قبل أن يعرفوا النتيجة.
قولهم «وإلا» لم يكن يعني أنهم يشكّون في الله، بل كان يعني أن عبادتهم له لا تعتمد على ما سيحدث بعد ذلك.
هناك أوقات يقول فيها الإيمان: «الله قادر»، ويضيف التسليم: «وحتى لو لم أنل ما أريده، فسأبقى له.»
هذا النوع من الثقة ليس استسلامًا سلبيًا، بل هو اختيار الله نفسه فوق الظرف الذي نريده أن يغيّره. فثقتك لا ترتكز فقط على ما يستطيع الله أن يفعله، بل على من هو.
قد لا تفهم ما يفعله الله. وقد تبقى الظروف غير مريحة. وقد تظل الإجابة غير واضحة. ومع ذلك، يمكنك أن تستمر في الطاعة والصلاة والرجاء، وأن ترفض منح أي صوت آخر الولاء الذي يخص المسيح.
الله مستحق ليس فقط عندما يختفي الأتون، بل أيضًا عندما تكون ما زلت واقفًا فيه.
أسئلة للتأمل:
- هل هناك نتيجة جعلتها، من دون أن تقصد، شرطًا لثقتك بالله؟
- كيف تبدو الأمانة التي تقول «حتى لو» في ظروفك الحالية؟
- كيف يمكنك أن تستمر في الرجاء بتدخل الله، وفي الوقت نفسه تسلّم النتيجة له؟
الصلاة:
يا رب، أؤمن أنك قادر، وأضع أمامك بصدق آمالي واحتياجاتي. لكنني لا أريد أن يعتمد ولائي لك على حصولي على الإجابة التي أتوقعها. علّمني الثقة التي تستطيع أن تقول: «حتى لو لم يحدث ما أرجوه، فأنا لك.» عندما لا أفهم توقيتك أو طرقك، احفظ قلبي من الميل إلى المساومة. ساعدني أن أستمر في الصلاة والرجاء والطاعة وعبادتك. أعطني الشجاعة لأختارك فوق النتيجة التي أرغب فيهاا. ولتستند ثقتي إلى شخصك، لا فقط إلى ما أرجو أن تفعله. أنت وحدك مستحق عبادتي. باسم يسوع، آمين.
